2013 recap!

Lets recap 2013!

First of all, happy new year! I hope you all had an 2013! 

 

I apologise in advance, but this is going to be a long one, so grab yourself a cuppa, or a glass of wine (since it's the new year) and enjoy! 

1. What did you do in 2013 that you'd never done before? Went to a concert! Jessie J!
2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I didn't set any for this year, but i will be setting some for 2014! Keep an eye out for that blog post!
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Yes! A lot of people who were in my school year now have children!
4. Did anyone close to you die? Only my hamster.
5. What countries did you visit? None.
6. What would you like to have in 2014 that you lacked in 2013? Happiness, i had a lot of sadness this year.
7. What dates from 2013 will remain etched upon your memory and why? August 27th, the day i started my job.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Getting a job!
9. What was your biggest failure? I don't think i've had a huge failure this year.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? Nothing major, i've just had a trillion bruises this year!
11. What was the best thing you bought? Ahh i've brought a bunch of stuff that i love! I can't even think!
12. Whose behavior merited celebration? My bestfriends, she's the greatest human on the planet.
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed? My dads. 
14. Where did most of your money go? Borrowed to my dad.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Going to see Jessie J! It was the most amazing thing i've ever witnessed!
16. What song will always remind you of 2013? Wrecking Ball.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
     - a) happier or sadder? - happier.
     - b) thinner or fatter? - about the same.
     - c) richer or poorer? - richer.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of? Gone out more, I've not experienced anything whilst being an 18 year old.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of? Self-loathing.
20. How did you spend Christmas? With my family, and my auntie's family.
21. Did you fall in love in 2013? No.
22. What was your favourite TV programme? Criminal Minds, ahh god.
23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? Yes.
24. What was the best book you read? Hunger Games - Catching Fire.
25. What was your greatest musical discovery? We the Kings.
26. What did you want and get? Les Miserables on DVD. Is that sad?
27. What did you want and not get? My mum home.
28. What was your favourite film of this year? Les Miserables.
29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? Nothing. I was 18.
30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? My mum being home.
31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2013? I wear what i want, i don't dress to impress you.
32. What kept you sane? Again, my best friend.
33. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? Mr Shemar Moore aka. Derek Morgan.
34. What political issue stirred you the most? The fact that it's not legal everywhere for gays to get married. God it's nearly 2014! 
35. Who did you miss? My mum.
36. Who was the best new person you met? I don't even know!
37. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2013. Be the best you that you can be.
38. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year. "I never meant to start a war, i just wanted you to let me in..."

                                          Okay, so this year has been full of ups and downs. I went on holiday with some "friends" and had the worst time. I got a job which is amazing. My younger sister went to live with my auntie due to family complications. I went to see Jessie J live. Now i'm writing this. This years been a tough one but i intend on making next year an amazing one. I hope you all had a very merry chirtsmas and an even merrier new year!

Where'd you go?!

Hello Lovelies!

Hello? Is anybody there? I know, i know, i've been gone for a while! But, i have exciting news (exciting for me at least, you might find it exciting too!) 

I have a job (!!!!!!) finally! This is a big thing for me, i've been taking care of my 6 younger brothers and younger sister for the past year now since my mum walked out and i've never had time for myself, and all my friends were all off to university and it made me unhappy, i wasn't doing anything with my life, i wasn't going anywhere so i'm glad that i finally am! 

Another thing, i'm going to see Jessie J!! On the 25th of this month, i will be at the capital fm arena in Nottingham, England seeing Jessie J! I'm almost certain there will be a blog post to follow!

I'm sorry i've been missing but i'm hoping to get back into the swing of things! Look out for exciting (hopefully) new blog posts, but until then... goodbye my loves!

Weight means nothing.

I saw this on twitter today and it made me stop and think, do people actually look up to others depending on their size? I know for one that i don't but i wonder if anyone else does? Just using this an example, i look up to both Zoe and Louise (sprinkle of glitter). Zoe because she's overcome so much like dealing with her anxiety and she's just a lovely person and Louise because she's the mother i aspire to be like. I don't look up to Zoe because shes a slimmer woman and i don't look up to Louise because shes a curvier woman. They're both just bloody beautiful and i want to meet them both! (inner fan-girl came out for a second their)

I absolutely love what Louise said though, "both just as special." Think about that for a second, like twins, one may be super girly and the other may be super into football, but their both just as special. 

I know this is short and a bit of a rant (kind of?) but i wanted to share my opinion on this! Every single one of you is special whether you're a size 6 or size 26, whether you have blonde hair or ginger hair, or anything. You're all beautiful and i love you!

So Claire from clunaire.com very kindly nominated me for a Liebster award! What is  a Liebster award you ask? Well, i asked myself the same thing so i googled it and this is what it said "The Liebster Award is given to up and coming bloggers who have less than 200 followers. 1. What's your favourite cocktail? - Well, i don't drink so i don't have an answer for this one.
2. What 5 products/accessories could you not live without? - Ahh! Okay, make-up products would be foundation, powder and mascara and 2 accessories?! Erm, probably a nice double finger ring and a nice jacket.
3. What's your favourite song of all time? Probably What If by Kate Winslet. It changes a lot though.
4. What's the best bit of advice you've ever received? Don't let anyone else's opinion influence your own. 
5. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? Either LA/Florida so i could meet all the american youtubers like the shaytards and CTFxC or London so i could meet the British youtubers. 
6. What's your favourite shade of lipstick? Either Kate Moss 101 or Kate Moss 110.
7. What's the best thing you've brought in the last 6 months? The core collection real techniques brushes!
8. What's your favourite beauty brand? I didn't think i had one but i checked the brand of all of my make-up and atleast 75% of it is Rimmel, so i'd have to say Rimmel!
9. What's the biggest beauty error you've ever made? Oh god, i once thought it would be a good idea to wear pink eyeliner, not like liquid, like bright pink kohl pencil eyeliner on my waterline. Never again!
10. How many hours do you spend a week on your blog? A week? probably around 4/5 hours.
11. What's your favourite person from history? I'm guessing a lot of people have said like Audrey Hepburn or Marilyn Monroe? I'm going to say Henry the eigth. This makes me sound like such a nerd but i just loved learning about him in school!

My Chaise Longue wishlist.

Hello lovelies.

Recently, i was informed about this lovely website called www.chaiselongue.co.uk/ that sell some of the most beautiful pieces of furniture i have ever laid my eyes upon. This blog post was supposed to have been written by 9pm and it's now nearly 11pm and i've only just started writing it, i've been fascinated by the beauty of it all. By the way, this is the interior decorator side of me coming out. (I'm not actually an interior decorator, i would love to be though!) Since i was so fascinated by the beauty of it all, i thought i would share some of my favourite pieces with all of you!

As you can tell, my favourite pieces were the chateau pieces. I love the simple chic look and i think these pieces are just that! I was inspired by the Edwardian (i think it's that at least) era, it's all beautiful and classic!

This furniture would create the most beautiful and calm bedroom ever. Also, you've probably noticed something that doesn't quite look right with all the other things, and that's the explorer club chair. I absolutely love this chair so much and it would look perfect in a library or in a little book nook! Infact, i would totally have the explorer chair in my bedroom with all the other pieces, i think it would add something a bit different to a room!
